Job Responsibility:
Delivering highly personalised support to pupils with a variety of needs, including ASC, SEMH, and SLD
Assisting in the delivery of individualised learning programmes and sensory circuits
Managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement
Supporting pupils with personal care or mobility requirements where necessary
Collaborating closely with therapists, parents, and the school leadership team to track developmental milestones
Requirements:

Valid eligibility to work within the UK
Experience in a SEND-specific environment (School, PRU, or specialist unit)
Significant prior experience working with SEND pupils
Deep understanding of different SEND diagnoses and how they impact learning
Proven experience in managing complex behaviours and staying calm in high-pressure situations
Proficiency in alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS or Makaton) is highly desirable
The ability to work seamlessly within a large team of support staff and specialists
