Affinity Workforce is working in partnership with a primary school and Multi Academy Trust in Reading, and we are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs. We have a high demand for staff, offering both flexible day‑to‑day work and longer‑term placements. Job Responsibility
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 or small‑group basis
Assisting pupils with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to follow EHCPs and support plans
Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential)
Experience in a school or educational setting (preferred)
A patient, caring, and proactive approach
Reliability and strong communication skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
