Job Description:

Justteachers is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school providing tailored support for learners with additional needs, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child’s educational journey. This full-time, long-term position is available to start as soon as possible.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group pastoral support for pupils with SEND needs
  • Build strong, trusting relationships that nurture emotional wellbeing
  • Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and social skills
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement personalised support strategies
  • Assist with de-escalation and lead restorative conversations when needed

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting children in SEND or targeted intervention roles
  • In-depth knowledge of SEND strategies and commitment to inclusive education
  • Ability to maintain a calm, consistent, and positive approach to learning and behaviour
  • Two or more recent, education based references within the last 2 years
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
