SEND Teaching Assistant – Perfect for Graduates / Career Changers. Thinking about a career working with young people? We’re looking for confident, reliable individuals to support pupils with additional needs in a specialist SEND setting in Fareham. You don’t need school experience — just the right attitude. A brilliant long-term opportunity to gain valuable SEND experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Helping students stay focused and engaged
  • Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff

Requirements:

  • Calm, resilient and proactive individuals
  • Someone who can build strong relationships
  • DBS on the Update Service
  • Up to date safeguarding training

Nice to have:

  • Background in Psychology / Criminology / Sociology
  • Background in Coaching or mentoring
  • Background in Care or support work
