Job Description:

Justeachers are searching for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a thriving SEND school in Carrington. This specialist school supports children aged 4 to 16 with a diverse range of SEND needs, providing an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver tailored support to students with additional needs within a dedicated provision setting
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and effective behaviour strategies
  • Drive a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted interventions
  • Offer consistent support for students’ social, emotional, and sensory needs throughout the school day

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children in SEND settings or within focused intervention roles
  • Strong understanding of SEND approaches and a dedication to fostering inclusive learning environments
  • Able to maintain a calm, steady, and positive manner when supporting learning and managing behaviour
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS including a children’s barred list check and where applicable a vulnerable adults barred list check
