Job Description:

Justteachers are seeking a committed and nurturing Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a cutting‑edge SEND school based in Winsford. This innovative provision offers tailored support to pupils aged 4–19 with a wide variety of special educational needs. The role is a short‑term, temporary position, beginning immediately and continuing through to April. You’ll play an important part in keeping parents and carers informed, providing clear, regular updates on each child’s development and overall well-being.

Job Responsibility:

Provide targeted 1:1 and small‑group pastoral support for pupils a wide range of SEND needs
Build strong, trusting relationships that promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and a sense of safety
Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, positive behaviour, communication skills, and social interaction
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEND professionals to deliver personalised support plans and interventions
Assist with de‑escalation using trauma‑informed approaches and facilitate restorative conversations when appropriate
Contribute to maintaining a calm, safe, and highly nurturing environment where all learners feel valued, understood, and supported

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children in a school or care or similar setting (essential)
Background in supporting students with SEND, including Autism and other additional needs
Ability to stay composed and patient when faced with challenging situations
Strong commitment to supporting children’s learning and overall development
