Job Description:

Justteachers are looking for a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant in a pioneering SEND school in Northwich. Join a dedicated team at an specialist school, supporting children aged 4–16 with diverse SEND needs. The role is to help create an inclusive, empowering learning environment where every child can thrive.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide high-quality teaching and support for pupils with diverse SEND needs
  • Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with individual learning plans
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and the wider SEND team to ensure holistic support
  • Track pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels respected and valued

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a SEND or intervention-based role
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice
  • A calm, consistent and encouraging approach
  • Two or more education based references within the last 2 years
  • Must meet the minimum experience, training or qualifications stated
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS including a children’s barred list check and where applicable a vulnerable adults barred list check is required for all successful candidates
