Job Description

Justteachers are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Key Stage 3/4 Teaching Assistant to join a state-of-the-art SEND school in Alderley Edge. This specialist setting supports children aged 11–18 with a diverse range of SEND needs. The position is to start in September with trial days happening now.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver tailored support to students with additional needs within a dedicated provision setting
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and effective behaviour strategies
  • Drive a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted interventions
  • Offer consistent support for students' social, emotional, and sensory needs throughout the school day
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and carers about each pupil's progress and overall well-being

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in SEND settings or within focused intervention roles
  • Strong understanding of SEND approaches and a dedication to fostering inclusive learning environments
  • Able to maintain a calm, steady, and positive manner when supporting learning and managing behaviour
