Job Description:

Justteachers are seeking a committed and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a cutting‑edge SEND school based in Rochdale. This innovative provision offers tailored support to pupils aged 11–16 with a wide variety of special educational needs. The role is to start in June. You’ll play an important part in keeping parents and carers informed, providing clear, regular updates on each child’s development and overall well-being.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver tailored support to students with additional needs within a dedicated provision setting
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and effective behaviour strategies
  • Drive a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted interventions
  • Offer consistent support for students' social, emotional, and sensory needs throughout the school day

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting (essential)
  • Background in supporting students with SEND, including Autism, SEMH, and other additional needs
  • Ability to stay composed and patient when faced with challenging situations
  • Strong commitment to supporting children's learning and overall development
