Role: SEND Teaching Assistant (Primary) Location: Bishops Stortford Salary: £88.92 - £100 Per Day Contract: Fixed Term. For a child with additional needs, the jump into primary school can be overwhelming. We are seeking a patient, creative, and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Tamworth. You will be the 'go-to' person for a child (or small group) with needs such as Autism (ASD), Speech and Language delays, or Global Developmental Delay (GDD).

Job Responsibility:

  • 1:1 Learning: Provide tailored support during phonics, maths, and play-based activities
  • Sensory Support: Use 'Now & Next' boards and sensory breaks
  • Social Development: Help children learn to play, share, and communicate with peers
  • Care & Wellbeing: Assist with personal care or mobility if required

Requirements:

  • Naturally patient
  • Imaginative
  • Experience (nursery, school, or personal experience with SEND)
