We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join one of the schools within our trusted partner network for a fixed-term assignment from September to December 2026. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in a supportive school environment.
Job Responsibility
Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, both 1:1 and in small groups
Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted lessons and interventions
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
Promote an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
Monitor and report on student progress, working collaboratively with teaching staff and SENDCo
Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and support plans
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based experience desirable)
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting inclusive education
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA) are desirable but not essential
