Job Description

SEND Teaching Assistants – Supply roles in Diss and surrounding areas, starting ASAP. These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Diss and the surrounding areas. You will work with pupils who have special educational needs, supporting their learning and well-being in a range of classroom environments. Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant: Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND; Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities; Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment; Support pupils with personal care needs where required; Encourage independence and social interaction among pupils; Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff. Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with children with SEND (school or care setting); Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, or other needs; Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations; Strong communication and teamwork skills; A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
