Job Description:

We are currently recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work on a full-time and part-time basis, supporting students with SEND needs. We have full-time and part-time SEND Teaching Assistant opportunities in schools supporting children and young people with a range of learning and development needs including Autism, PMLD and Behavioural Needs (SEMH).

Job Responsibility:

  • supporting students with SEND needs
  • supporting students across a range of learning and development activities
  • build relationships quickly, establish routines with a consistent approach and communicate clearly in suitable ways and integrate pupil's interests
  • combine personal care support including feeding and physical support alongside supporting developmental activities
  • support students to develop their day to day and academic skills as well as build their self-esteem and regulate emotions

Requirements:

  • Experienced Teaching Assistants looking for a position in Special Needs
  • Healthcare / social care workers
  • Youth workers
  • Community support workers
  • you will need an Enhanced DBS certificate
  • 2 references covering the past two years
  • a caring, dedicated and professional approach to working with young children with special educational needs
