Pink Tile Education is supporting a warm, nurturing and forward‑thinking primary school in the Bognor Regis area who are looking to appoint a caring, committed SEND Teaching Assistant on a fixed‑term contract starting April 2026. This role offers the chance to become part of a supportive and enthusiastic team, working closely with teachers and leaders who are passionate about providing outstanding opportunities for every child. You’ll play a key role in delivering 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs, helping them access learning, grow in confidence, and flourish within the school community.
Job Responsibility:
Providing patient, consistent 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs
Helping the pupil engage in lessons, build key skills, and access the curriculum
Supporting emotional regulation, communication and social interaction
Working closely with teaching staff, specialists and the SEN lead
Creating a calm, nurturing and encouraging learning environment
Contributing to creative and inclusive approaches across the classroom
Requirements:
Passionate about supporting pupils with SEND
Experienced working with children, ideally within a school setting
Able to build positive relationships and communicate clearly
Proactive, flexible, patient, and well‑organised
A strong team player with a caring, energetic approach
Interested in developing their knowledge of SEND and child development
Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services
