SEND Teaching Assistant – Day-to-Day Supply, Starting Immediately. These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will work across multiple schools in Norwich and the surrounding areas, providing day-to-day support with the potential for longer-term or permanent roles.
Job Responsibility:
Support pupils with special educational needs in classroom and small group settings
Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans
Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning strategies
Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure tailored support
Provide one-to-one assistance where required and help pupils engage with learning activities
Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
Strong understanding of behaviour management and differentiated learning
Ability to build positive relationships and maintain a calm, supportive approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on the Update Service
