Job Description:

We are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant, who is looking for a Long term role, in a Primary school in the Preston area on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in June 2026, with shortlisting currently underway. A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Preston committed to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for all pupils. Job Responsibility:

  • Support pupils with SEND on a 1 1 or small group basis
  • Assist with delivery of tailored learning activities
  • Help implement EHCPs and support plans
  • Monitor and record pupil progress
  • Support communication and social development
  • Assist with behaviour management strategies
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCO
  • Help create a safe inclusive learning environment
  • Provide support with daily routines and transitions
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies

Requirements:

  • UK school experience essential
  • Experience supporting SEND pupils
  • Understanding of EHCPs and SEND needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
