We are currently recruiting for a caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist setting in Stretford on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support, helping pupils to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within a positive and inclusive environment.
Job Responsibility
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEND needs
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities
Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
