Job Description:

Can you be the guiding light for a child's first steps in education? Every child deserves to feel safe understood and capable. We are looking for a patient and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Primary School in Tamworth. You will be working with children in EYFS KS1 or KS2 who have additional needs such as ASD GDD (Global Developmental Delay) or Speech and Language difficulties. This isn't just about getting through the lesson-it's about using play patience and creativity to help a child navigate their world.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide tailored assistance to a specific child helping them access the curriculum at their own pace
  • Be comfortable assisting with personal care or mobility needs if required (training provided)
  • Use Now & Next boards PECS or sensory breaks to keep a child regulated and happy
  • Foster a sense of independence and social skills during playtime and group activities
