Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Northamptonshire. This role involves providing tailored support to a Year 2 pupil with additional needs, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent, starting as soon as possible.

Job Responsibility:

Provide 1:1 support tailored to the needs of a pupil with additional learning needs
Support students with a range of needs, including cognition and learning difficulties, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), sensory and physical challenges, ASC, ADHD, and other complex needs
Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to create a positive and effective learning environment
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, understanding their individual needs and motivations
Promote and support the school's inclusive ethos and positive learning culture

Requirements:

Recent experience (within the last two years) working with children or adults with SEN or complex needs (e.g. care homes, residential settings, SEMH schools, or PRUs)
A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH and additional needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build rapport with pupils and demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding
Legal right to work in the UK
