Job Description:

We are partnering with a friendly two-form entry primary school on the outskirts of Hastings, well-regarded for its inclusive SEND provision. The SENCO is seeking a patient, consistent, and empathetic SEND TA to support a KS1 pupil with Autism who responds best to predictability, sensory regulation and clear routines. The school has a purpose-built nurture space, access to an in-house Speech & Language Therapist, and a team of experienced support staff who meet daily to discuss strategies and pupil needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and external agencies, ensuring the pupil can access learning confidently and safely.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implementing a personalised timetable
  • Using visual timetables, Now/Next boards and sensory breaks effectively
  • Recording daily progress and liaising with parents
  • Supporting social interaction and emotional regulation

Requirements:

  • DBS on Update Service
  • Experience with Autism preferred
