Job Description:

Justteachers is looking for an experienced SEND teacher to join a dedicated team at a specialist school in Ashton in Makerfield. This role is full-time, long-term and is available to start in February.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide a creative, holistic experience where each child becomes the best, most independent version of themselves
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and fellow staff to maintain a supportive and effective classroom environment
  • Promote and uphold the school’s values, contributing to its supportive atmosphere

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate experience supporting children in SEND or targeted intervention roles
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of SEND strategies and commitment to inclusive education
  • Have a strong ability to maintain a calm, consistent, and positive approach to learning and behaviour
  • Two or more recent, education based references within the last 2 years
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS including a children’s barred list check and where applicable a vulnerable adults barred list check
