Job Description:

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Accrington is seeking a committed and compassionate SEND Teacher to join their team from September. This long‑term opportunity is ideal for a passionate practitioner who is dedicated to supporting pupils with additional needs and delivering personalised learning to help every child reach their full potential. The school places a strong emphasis on inclusion, wellbeing, and high expectations for all learners.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver tailored learning for pupils with SEND, either in a specialist setting or through targeted support
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including learning, communication, and emotional needs
  • Assess, monitor, and track progress against individual targets and EHCPs
  • Work closely with the SENCO, support staff, and external agencies
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Contribute to reviews, reports, and ongoing provision planning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND (mainstream or specialist setting)
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice
  • Ability to provide two school‑based or education‑related references
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
