Job Description:

SEND Teacher – daily supply role starting as soon as possible. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers in and around Wigan who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure inclusive classroom environments
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adjusting plans as needed
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reviews

Requirements:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has experience teaching pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and differentiation skills
  • Shows empathy, patience, and resilience
  • Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
