Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement personalised, highly differentiated lesson plans for KS3/KS4 pupils
  • Manage complex classroom dynamics with a calm, reflective, and non-confrontational approach
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to review EHC plans, PEPs, and LAC targets
  • Provide professional leadership in a designated subject area, monitoring standards and promoting best practices
  • Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure holistic student support

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with PGCE
  • proven experience in a special school environment working with ASC/SEND pupils
  • Ability to teach up to and including GCSE level
  • strong drive for professional development
  • excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be physically able to meet the requirements of the role
  • A deep understanding of autism and associated conditions is essential
  • Able to provide your own vehicle or public transport
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check
