About the Role This full-time position is designed for a qualified educator who wants to move away from mainstream constraints and focus on truly child-centred learning. You will take lead responsibility for a class of pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties, designing and delivering highly individualised learning pathways that promote independence, communication, and well-being.
Job Responsibility
Plan and deliver an engaging, multi-sensory curriculum tailored to the unique cognitive and physical needs of your pupils
Oversee and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), tracking small-step progress with accuracy and care
Lead and deploy a team of classroom teaching assistants effectively to ensure a safe and highly supportive learning environment
Partner closely with speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, and nursing staff to provide holistic care and education
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is mandatory
Proven experience teaching children with severe, profound, or complex learning needs within the UK
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad
Full eligibility to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role)
