Randstad Education is delighted to be recruiting a dedicated, resilient, and creative SEND Teacher to join a highly regarded specialist school in Leeds. About the Role This full-time position is designed for a qualified educator who wants to move away from mainstream constraints and focus on truly child-centred learning. You will take lead responsibility for a class of pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties, designing and delivering highly individualised learning pathways that promote independence, communication, and well-being.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver an engaging, multi-sensory curriculum tailored to the unique cognitive and physical needs of your pupils
  • Oversee and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), tracking small-step progress with accuracy and care
  • Lead and deploy a team of classroom teaching assistants effectively to ensure a safe and highly supportive learning environment
  • Partner closely with speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, and nursing staff to provide holistic care and education

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is mandatory
  • Proven experience teaching children with severe, profound, or complex learning needs within the UK
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role)
