Job Description

We are currently recruiting for SEND Support Assistants to work in specialist and mainstream school settings across Portsmouth. Opportunities are available on both a flexible (bank) and longer-term basis. These positions have arisen due to increased demand for support for pupils with Autism, ADHD and associated needs.

Job Responsibility

Support pupils with SEND to access learning
Assist with behaviour management and routines
Provide 1:1 and small group support
Work closely with teachers and support staff

Requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Up-to-date safeguarding training
Right to work in the UK

Nice to have

Has experience in care, support work, education or youth work
Is patient, adaptable and proactive
Can build positive relationships with pupils
