SEND Primary Teachers Wanted - North Manchester! We are seeking enthusiastic and committed SEND Primary Teachers to join our forward-thinking schools across the North Manchester area. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead learning for pupils with diverse needs, shape their educational journey, and contribute to a truly inclusive school community.
Job Responsibility:
Planning, preparing, and delivering highly engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the specific needs of pupils with SEND within primary settings
Conducting ongoing assessment, monitoring, and recording of pupil progress, using data to inform interventions and future planning
Developing and implementing individualised learning plans, contributing significantly to EHCPs and IEPs
Creating a nurturing, positive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes independence, self-esteem, and academic achievement for all pupils
Leading and directing support staff (e.g., SEND Teaching Assistants) to ensure effective delivery of targeted interventions
Collaborating closely with the SENCO, parents, therapists, and other agencies to ensure holistic support for pupils
Actively participating in school meetings, professional development, and contributing to the wider school community
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Full QTS and recent, relevant experience teaching in UK Primary schools
SEND Specialism: Demonstrable experience and expertise in teaching pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, specific learning difficulties (e.g., dyslexia), and moderate to severe learning difficulties
Curriculum Adaptation: Proven ability to differentiate and adapt the primary curriculum to meet the individual learning styles and needs of SEND pupils
Commitment: A dedicated and reliable individual looking for full-time, long-term work
Working Hours: Ability to commit to full-time hours, typically 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, during term time
Team Collaboration: Excellent teamwork skills, with experience working effectively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals
Key Qualities: Patience, empathy, exceptional communication and organisational skills, creativity in teaching methods, resilience, and a deeply positive, child-centred approach
