Job Description

Are you a dedicated educator who believes that building strong, trusting relationships is the foundation of effective learning? This role offers a teaching role which leans towards the pastoral side of education; we are searching for a qualified teacher who prioritises emotional well-being and wants to work closely with pupils within a smaller class alongside a multi-disciplinary support team. We operate a strict no-sponsorship policy; all applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver high-quality teaching tailored to pupils with diverse social, emotional, and sensory needs
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum, ensuring educational, physical, and social needs are met
  • Create a calm, non-confrontational learning environment and nurture student's growth and wellbeing
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Maintain and implement personalised lesson plans, monitoring student progress against individual targets
  • Manage challenging behaviours in accordance with established school policies
  • Contribute to the review of EHCPs and other formal reporting processes

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience working within special school settings, specifically with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and SEND
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum
  • A solid understanding of ASC and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Able to provide your own vehicle preferred due to the site's semi-rural location
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check

Nice to have

Additional specialist qualifications in SEND and experience in curriculum development for learners with autism

What we offer

  • Lots of progression and career development opportunities
  • Welcome Bonus: £5,000 for qualified teachers, payable in two installments
  • A supportive, collaborative environment where your contribution is valued and your professional growth is prioritised
  • £1,000 refer-a-friend programme
  • Shopping and transportation schemes including UK health cash plan
  • 24/7 employee assistance programme, 24/7 GP access for you and your family
