We are currently recruiting SEND Learning Support Assistants to work within a specialist school in Wallington. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs within a nurturing and supportive environment.
Job Responsibility
Support students 1:1 and in small groups
Assist with learning activities across the classroom
Support communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
Encourage independence, engagement, and confidence
Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Work closely with teachers and wider school staff
Requirements
Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals (SEND experience desirable)
A calm, patient, and supportive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for SEND education
A proactive, flexible, and resilient attitude
Must have the right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
