Job Description

SEND Learning Support Assistant – Primary Setting in Fareham. Start: September 2026. Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only. Pink Tile Education are currently recruiting for a SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary setting in Fareham from September 2026. This is a long-term opportunity supporting children with additional needs on both a 1:1 and small group basis. The school are looking for someone calm, nurturing, and proactive who genuinely enjoys helping children build confidence and access learning successfully within a supportive classroom environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
  • Assisting children to access learning activities across the curriculum
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff, and pastoral teams
  • Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence within learning

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
  • Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children's Workforce (or Children's & Adults') update service, or be willing to obtain one
