Rarely do you get the chance to design a SEN provision from the ground up. As the founding SENDCo for our brand-new academy (ages 5-19), you won't just be managing a register-you will be architecting the systems, culture, and clinical pathways for a 72-capacity SEMH specialist setting. The Role: This is a strategic leadership position. You will be the bridge between local authorities, families, and our multi-disciplinary teaching team. You will: Lead the Vision: Drive the Annual Review process and EHCP coordination with meticulous precision. Empower Educators: Deliver high-level CPD and INSET, transforming teaching staff into SEMH specialists. Monitor Impact: Use data-driven insights to evaluate SEN teaching and ensure no child falls through the gaps. Strategic Growth: Play a pivotal role in school improvement and long-term planning as we scale to full capacity. Who You Are: An expert in the SEND Code of Practice who possesses QTS and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or the drive to complete it). You are a leader who understands that behind every EHCP is a young person waiting for a breakthrough. Why Join a Founding Team? Joining a school at the pre-opening stage allows you to influence the environment, the culture, and the community from day one. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team where your voice is heard and your impact on the students is visible every single day.
