Job Description:

We are looking for an inspirational SENCO at our Woodbury school based in Wolverhampton. Woodbury School is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in Wolverhampton, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 7-18 with a range of complex learning needs including Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). At Horizon Care and Education, our SENCOs are supported by Headteachers, Operational Directors and the Managing Director of Education Services. This structure of support allows Senior Leadership Teams to focus on and deliver the best outcomes for children, young people, and their families. To be our SENCo, you’ll be a multi-talented professional, you’ll have great leadership and communication skills; endless enthusiasm, resilience and vision, and a commitment to both the education and the achievement of each young person.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • Must hold a SENCO Qualification or be close to completing
  • Must have a QTS status
  • Have some experience of working effectively with local authorities
  • Have a robust understanding of SEND Code of practice
  • An understanding of SEMH education and how to support the additional needs associated with SEMH pupils
