Pink Tile Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school that is seeking an experienced SENCO to join immediately. This is a key leadership role, requiring someone who can step in confidently and make an immediate impact. The school is looking for a qualified and experienced SENCO who can take full responsibility for coordinating SEND provision across the school. You will be expected to lead all aspects of SEND support, ensuring students receive the appropriate interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a fast-paced role, and the successful candidate must be able to "hit the ground running" from day one.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage SEND provision across the secondary school
  • Oversee identification, assessment, and monitoring of pupils with additional needs
  • Work closely with teaching staff, support staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Maintain and update EHCPs and SEND records in line with statutory requirements
  • Provide guidance, advice, and training to staff on inclusive practice
  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Support transitions and track progress of SEND learners

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a SENCO in a school setting (essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes
  • Available for immediate start
  • Able to commit full-time, 5 days per week, until the end of the academic year
  • Must hold a DBS on the Update Service (essential)
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
What we offer:
  • Supportive and collaborative leadership team
  • Inclusive and positive school culture
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes
  • Ongoing support from Pink Tile Education throughout the placement
