Job Description:

Join a supportive secondary team as an SEN Teaching Assistant and turn 'small wins' into life-changing progress. Support students with Additional Needs (SEND), including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work 1:1 to implement EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets using sensory breaks, visual timetables, and simplified tasks
  • Assist students in developing self-regulation skills and social confidence
  • Work closely with the SENCO, parents, and external therapists to track progress and adjust support strategies
  • Ensure every student feels safe, valued, and included in school life

Requirements:

  • Have a 'Person-First' Mindset
  • Are Resilient & Calm
  • Have Relevant Experience (school, care, youth work, or personal background)
  • Are Committed (hold an enhanced DBS or are willing to apply)
  • 100% dedicated to Safeguarding and pupil welfare

Nice to have:

lived experience with SEND
