About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and patient Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a student in a mainstream primary school in the Riddlesdown/Purley area. The student has an EHCP for Autism (ASD) and requires consistent, nurturing support to help them access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for a psychology graduate, an experienced support worker, or an established TA who wants a stable, long-term role for the academic year without travelling into the city.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing tailored 1:1 support inside and outside the classroom
  • Implementing behavioural management strategies and sensory breaks
  • Working closely with the school SENCO and class teacher to track progress

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children or young adults with SEN (ASD, ADHD, or speech & language needs)
  • A calm, resilient, and encouraging personality
  • Living locally with a reliable commute to the Purley/Riddlesdown area
