We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive educational setting in Worthing. Job Responsibility
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities
Support pupils with academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning
Help implement and monitor individual learning plans and strategies
Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, therapists, and parents where appropriate
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN, is desirable
A patient, caring, and resilient approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous but not essential
