Job Description:

Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant | Lead the Way in a Brand-New Provision. We are seeking high-calibre Teaching Assistants to join our founding team at a brand-new SEND Secondary School in Chaldon, Surrey. This school specialises in supporting students aged 11-16 with complex social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Curriculum Adaptation: adjust learning activities and reinforce concepts
  • Behavioural Leadership: support positive behaviour through a tailored, solution-focused approach
  • Collaborative Practice: act as a key link between the Class Teacher, parents, and external professionals
  • Mentorship: contribute to the community life of the school and engage in reflective practice

Requirements:

  • Level 2 award (or higher) in supporting teaching and learning
  • GCSE Maths and English
  • Previous experience within a relevant SEND provision
  • Firm grasp of Safeguarding, PREVENT, and the principles of promoting independence in an inclusive setting
  • Flexible, solution-focused, and capable of meeting the physical demands of an active SEND environment
