Job Description:

Are you a compassionate individual dedicated to helping children with special educational needs? Randstad Education is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a partner school. This is a rewarding chance to provide consistent, caring support to students throughout their education.

Job Responsibility:

Offer one-to-one and small group support to children with various needs, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties
Help carry out Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Work with the class teacher and SENCO to provide personalised learning
Encourage students to develop confidence, social skills, and emotional control
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning space

Requirements:

Experience with children with SEN (either in a school or care environment)
A patient, nurturing, and flexible attitude
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one)
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are a plus

Requirements

Experience working with SEN pupils
Managing challenging behaviour and supporting the class teacher
Ability to assist teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment for children with social, emotional and mental health needs
