Job Description:

Oasis Academy New Oak currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a SEN Teaching Assistant in 'The Orchard', our Autism Resource Base.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting learners with differentiated needs
  • providing learning support with a positive and inclusive outlook
  • managing sometimes complex behaviours within a structured learning environment to ensure differently-abled learners can reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • NVQ/VRQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
  • Maths and English GCSE grade A* - C / 9-4 or Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 on the NQF or equivalent.
  • Passion and commitment for supporting learners with specific needs.
  • An empathetic, patient and tolerant demeanour.
  • Key organisation and communication skills.
  • Experience with managing complex behaviours and helping SEN learners to achieve.
