Randstad is partnering with a school in Sefton to find a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers the chance to significantly impact the lives of students with special educational needs.
Job Responsibility:
Provide individual and small-group support to students with diverse special educational needs
Collaborate closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans
Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment, assisting with behaviour management
Support lesson preparation and actively participate in monitoring student progress
Mentor and guide students, supporting them in achieving their academic and personal goals
Assist in creating and maintaining a supportive and stimulating learning environment
Participate in school events and activities
Maintain accurate records of student progress and relevant information
Requirements:
At least six months experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting students with SEN
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Current Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Relevant educational qualification (e.g., teaching assistant certificate or equivalent)
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
