Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated SEND Specialists to work with students across all ages who have a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). This role is perfect for those who value connection over curriculum and celebrate the unique progress of every individual learner.

Job Responsibility:

Work 1:1 or in small groups to make learning accessible, using sensory play, visual timetables, and personalised communication tools
Follow and implement EHCP goals, adapting classroom activities to meet specific sensory and cognitive needs
Utilise alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC devices
Act as a calm consistent presence, recognise early signs of distress and use sensory breaks or de-escalation strategies
Work closely with Class Teacher, SENCO, and external therapists

Requirements:

Exceptional patience
Relevant experience in school, care setting, personal experience with family, or volunteering with SEND charities
Team player
Commitment to Safeguarding
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
