Job Description:

This well resourced primary school in Carshalton are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP to work in their ARP. The school is located on the outskirts of Carshalton and within walking distance of Mitcham tram station, easily accessible by car and public transport. There is a true community feel at the school and a very inclusive approach with the school benefitting from a specialist Autism provision. There is an established leadership team in place who have created a supportive culture and offer good opportunities for professional development. Children make good progress within the school.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting students with Autism and associated needs
  • working with a small class of approximately 6 children
  • supporting students ranging from 9 to 11 years in age, but cognitively operating at EYFS/KS1 level

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working with children with SEND
  • ideally in a classroom environment
