Job Description:

Many young people with Autism see the world differently. Sometimes, that world can feel overwhelming, frustrating, or inaccessible. We are looking for empathetic, patient, and resilient individuals to join our brand-new specialist school and act as the bridge between our students and their potential. In this role, you aren't just helping with schoolwork; you are a champion for young people aged 11-16 who need support with emotional regulation and social communication. You will be the person who stays calm when things get difficult and the first person to cheer when a student hits a personal milestone.

Job Responsibility:

Helping a young person with Autism find their voice
Acting as the bridge between students and their potential
Helping with schoolwork
Supporting students aged 11-16 with emotional regulation and social communication
Staying calm when things get difficult
Cheering when a student hits a personal milestone

Requirements:

minimum of Grade C/Level 2 in GCSE English and Maths
Teaching experience
ability to track progression in attainment
background in youth work
behaviour management
building relationships
classroom management
communication
de-escalation techniques

experience in administering medication
experience in managing challenging behaviour
experience with autism spectrum disorders
experience with learning difficulties
experience with social emotional mental health
