Becoming an SEN Teaching Assistant is an excellent opportunity to make a big difference in a pupil's education, to build upon your teaching support skills and to gain experience in a wide range of teaching methods, aids, and approaches. Working as a SEN Teaching Assistant is a priceless chance to obtain classroom experience if you're interested in teaching children with Special Educational Needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in carrying out educational strategies that are appropriate for each child's learning goals
  • Develop a connection of trust with every child and speak to them in terms they can understand
  • Encourage diversity, acceptance, and inclusion, and make sure all the children have equal access to learning and growth
  • Encourage children's involvement and make sure they are paying attention during the lesson
  • Provide opportunities for developing independence
  • Give children, parents, and caregivers feedback about their development, accomplishments, and potential issues as directed by the teaching team

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Experience working with SEN pupils
  • A drive to inspire the next generation
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
