Job Description

NAS-accredited specialist school seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join expanding team. Students (aged 6-19) have a range of complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and physical or sensory impairments. Focus on the person, not just the classroom.

Job Responsibility

  • Support students with PMLD and complex medical needs to achieve their personal and educational goals
  • Assist with learning, development, and progress, including participation in personal care and physical intervention routines when necessary
  • Use creativity to help students manage anxiety and sensory overload, building their confidence for adult life
  • Work alongside an exceptional therapeutic team in a highly specialist environment

Requirements

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English is required
  • A love for outdoor learning and a commitment to safeguarding and equality
  • Ambition: A desire to grow

  • Communication: The ability to connect with students who may have complex communication needs
