Job Description:

"Support the journey of young minds as a dedicated Teaching Assistant." This is an exciting opportunity for passionate and hardworking Care and Support workers. You can look forward to working with a welcoming and dedicated team of individuals and children who love school and are proud of their achievements. For a recent graduate looking to obtain experience as a Teaching Assistant before beginning teacher training, this is an excellent opportunity. The school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside a range of other associated conditions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all the children
  • Working with small groups and 1:1
  • Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot
  • Support the teacher, the whole class, small groups and 1:1 for learning support and progress of every child under your care

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced child DBS on the update service
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Able to make an impression on both us and our client
  • Previous experience working with children is required
  • Flexibly adhere to the needs of the pupils in a professional and friendly manner
  • Good classroom management skills

A strong knowledge about the UK curriculum will be an added advantage
