Job Description:

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a welcoming and high-performing primary school in the Northampton area. Start date is as soon as possible. The school has recently been rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED and is proud of its strong values, high expectations, and commitment to providing every child with a world-class education. The school promotes exemplary behaviour, a caring environment, and a genuine love of learning.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils
  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including: Autism
  • Sensory and/or physical impairments
  • Behavioural, social, and emotional needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher to support learning and development
  • Liaise effectively with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
  • Follow the school’s policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

  • Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEN
  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
  • The right to work in the UK
