Job Description:

SEN Teaching Assistant – SEN School – £115 – £120 per day – Term-Time Only. A well-regarded SEN School in the Borough of Bexley seeks a compassionate and committed candidate to support young children with special educational needs in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities include providing individual and small group assistance, supporting EHCP targets, and collaborating closely with class teachers.

Job Responsibility:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs
Assisting with EHCP targets and adapting activities to suit individual needs
Supporting class teachers in managing behaviour and promoting engagement
Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Liaising with SENCOs, parents, and external professionals when needed
Supporting children with SEN across EYFS, KS1 and lower KS2
Working closely with class teachers and SEN team

Requirements:

Experience working with children with special educational needs in a school or similar setting
Patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure
Proactive, enthusiastic, and able to build strong relationships with young children
Able to follow support plans and use your initiative
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
