This dedicated school supports pupils with a diverse range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. We are looking for an educational mentor who sees past diagnoses, implements highly personalised learning pathways, and fosters an environment where every student can achieve their full potential.

Positive Behaviour Support: Cultivate a safe, predictable, and nurturing environment, utilising proactive de-escalation techniques and sensory breaks to support students experiencing emotional dysregulation
Independence Coaching: Help students develop vital life skills, emotional literacy, and positive peer interaction habits to build their long-term confidence and independence
Sensory & Care Assistance: Support pupils during sensory breaks, outdoor play, lunchtimes, and assist with personal care or mobility needs where required, ensuring dignity at all times
Multidisciplinary Liaison: Monitor daily student engagement and breakthroughs, providing clear updates and collaborating regularly with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and visiting therapists

Prior experience in adult or child care, youth work, mental health support, sports coaching, or an SEN setting is highly advantageous
A calm, grounded, and patient demeanour, with the ability to support students confidently during periods of pupil dysregulation or high anxiety
