Job Description:

Pink Tile Education is working with a warm and nurturing primary school in Worthing who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with Autism (ASD). This role is ideal for someone who is calm, patient and passionate about giving children the personalised support they need to succeed. The school has a strong reputation for inclusion and takes pride in creating a stable, consistent environment for their pupils.

Job Responsibility:

Providing 1:1 support for a child with Autism throughout the school day
Helping the child access learning, regulate emotions and follow routines
Using visuals, structure and clear communication strategies
Supporting social interaction, confidence and engagement in the classroom
Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCo and wider support staff
Ensuring the child feels safe, understood and supported every day

Requirements:

Experienced with SEN and/or supporting children with Autism
Patient, nurturing and able to build trust quickly
Confident using strategies such as visuals, clear routines and positive reinforcement
A reliable, committed team‑player
Passionate about helping children grow emotionally, socially and academically
Someone who thrives in a supportive, child‑centred environment
Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services
